CrowdNotes ("the App") is designed to help teams collaborate during recruiting or networking events by sharing notes about attendees. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses and how it is used.
Joe Ghalam built CrowdNotes as a paid app. This service is provided by Joe Ghalam and is intended for use as-is.
Information Accessed by the App
CrowdNotes stores and accesses event information using Apple iCloud services associated with the user's Apple ID. The data stored in iCloud may include:
- Attendee names and basic contact information
- Event-related notes entered by team members
- QR code identifiers assigned to attendees
This data is stored within the user's iCloud account and may be shared with other collaborators using Apple's iCloud sharing features.
How the Information Is Used
The App reads and writes information in the user's iCloud storage in order to:
- Display attendee information during events
- Allow team members to add and edit notes about attendees
- Enable searching for attendees by name or QR code
- Allow collaboration and note sharing between authorized users
Apple iCloud Services
CrowdNotes uses Apple CloudKit to store and synchronize event data between authorized users. The App only accesses data created or stored by the App within the user's iCloud account and does not access any other personal files stored in iCloud. Authentication and account management are handled entirely by Apple through the user's Apple ID.
Data Storage
CrowdNotes does not operate its own servers and does not store attendee information on developer-controlled infrastructure. All data remains within the Apple iCloud accounts of the users who create or share it.
Data Sharing
CrowdNotes does not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties. Any sharing of event data occurs only through Apple iCloud sharing features initiated and controlled by the app's users.
Analytics and Tracking
CrowdNotes does not collect analytics data, advertising identifiers, or any tracking information.
Children's Privacy
CrowdNotes is intended for professional use and is not directed at children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
